Benefits of rice water:
We pour our daily rice water down and leave it behind without knowing its uses and benefits. But it is surprising to hear that it has so many benefits. In Korea, Japan, and China, rice water contributes to being an important ingredient in their skincare routine. Rice water is good for our skin in many ways, so today's skinnies are adding rice water as an important ingredient in their products.
Rice water not only contains vitamins, minerals, and amino acids but is also rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. So that it removes tanning of skin and skin burns caused by excessive exposure to sunlight. It is plant-based so it can be easily used by people with skin that is not compatible with animal-based products. Due to its anti-aging properties, it can make our skin look younger and more supple and radiant. Rice water helps to remove acne, acne scars, dark spots, and hyper-pigmentation on our skin and also prevents them from forming giving our skin a supple, shiny, and glowing look.
Let's see how to make rice water at home!
Ingredients :
- Uncooked rice
- Water ( running tap water)
Preparation:
Take the required amount of uncooked rice and wash it well in tap water. It removes unwanted impurities and contaminants.

Place the rinsed rice in a bowl.

Pour 2-3 cups of water and soak for about 20-30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, rub the soaked rice well with the help of fingers. All the nutrients in the rice are well absorbed by the water during sprouting.

strain the water from the rice. Make sure the rice is not runny.

If desired, the distilled rice water can be fermented at room temperature for 24-28 hours. During fermentation, most of the nutrients are leached into the water.

Pour the prepared rice water into an airtight container and store it in the fridge. You can take it and use it when you need it.
How to use:
Rice water can be used on our face in many ways. Let's see some of them,
Toner: Rice water can be used as a toner. Take a small cotton ball dip it in rice water and gently apply it on the face. It balances the skin's PH level and gives out a smooth appearance.
Face pack: Natural ingredients like aloe vera, turmeric, or honey can also be added to rice water as a face pack. Apply the prepared pack on the face and wash it off after 20-30 minutes using lukewarm water.
Cleanser: Take a small cotton ball dip it in rice water and use it as a cleanser to remove dirt and makeup from the face.
